Elocution for the Stage

A series of 9 classes, this course is designed for actors and non actors alike, for the purpose of strengthening the voice, development of techniques for carrying a narrative, and analyzing text. These techniques are also helpful for breaking down language barriers, and developing comfort and confidence in front of an audience.

Classes will be broken into two parts: Exercises to develop proper breathing, diction, projection, and other technical elements of speech, and then practical work with poetry, and pros.

At the end of the session participants will have a chance to present developed work in front of an audience.

Full 9-week series is $390; drop in $50. While drop ins are welcomed, there is a degree of continuity throughout the series.

Classes on 3/24, 3/31 and 4/7 will start at 7:30 pm and end at 9:30 pm

All other Mondays, the classes will start at 7:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm.
